Mitchell Ostwald is committed to making a difference for his clients and to contributing to the improvement of life in our community. He is a second generation Pistachio farmer, currently farming 1500 acres. Ostwald has expanded the farming operation over the past 28 years. He is responsible for managing, developing, and marketing his own farm’s production, as well as his clients’ farms.

Ostwald represents his clients in the most professional, thorough and imaginative manner. Years of evaluating and investigating different approaches to farming has taught him the value of adjusting to changes in the way the farming business is evolving. Some say that his success is due to a "tough" attitude. He attributes it to having an ability to visualize the marketplace and make changes before it’s already too late. He believes the difference between obtaining superior rather than disappointing results often comes down to a manager’s innate determination and spirit.

With a team of well qualified professionals, including farm advisors and managers, soils engineers, nurserymen, real estate brokers specializing in farm properties, and water rights and land use attorneys throughout California, Ostwald has assembled a team of stellar advisors that possess an incredible array of talent and knowledge in all aspects of farming. Learning to listen and respect the opinions of trusted advisors has helped create an atmosphere of camaraderie and friendship.

Mitchell Ostwald was born in San Jose, California. He is a graduate of UCLA and University of the Pacific, McGeorge Law School, and has received a diploma in Advanced International Legal Studies from the University of Salzburg, Austria. Ostwald served on the Governmental Affairs Committee of the California Pistachio Commission and has served as an alternate Commissioner in District 2 of the California Pistachio Commission and on the Marketing Committee.
